Fon sta cominciando a sostituire i router Linksys wrt54 con le fonere e per fare questo ha inviato a tutti i foneros delle prime ore che hanno mantenuto on line il loro router un codice promozionale per beneficiare di una fonera gratis.
Questa è un’ottima cosa , che tra l’altro riporta di attualità un mio howto che scrissi tempo addietro.
Quindi Foneros di vecchia data ,date un’occhiata a questo documento nel quale descrissi come far convivere ottimamente la Fonera e il Linksys wrt54g.
Un piccolo dubbio , Fon sta cambiando il meccanismo di heartbeat della fonera?
Se fosse così sarebbe opportuno che Fon rilasciasse il sorgente , in quanto alcuni potrebbero aver utilizzato dei metodi non convenzionali per attivare il loro nodo FON ( io sono uno di quelli , router linux con interfaccia wifi , chillispot e script heartbeat per notificare a Fon che il nodo è attivo ! ).
tu sai se poi il linksys va restituito? spero che sia una mia illazione, perche’ e’ tanto caruccio 😀
@remix_tj non c’e’ menzione che tu debba restituire il Linksys nell’email , e quindi credo proprio che sia pronto da riflashare con il tuo firmware preferito 🙂
non lo riflashero’ a caso, anzi lo riflashero’ per fare un po’ di WDS e allargare la copertura fonera a tutti i miei vicini di casa che per colpa di $nota_societa_telefonica non sono coperti dall’ADSL.
la fonera mi è arrivata ieri, oggi l’ho installata semplicemente collegandola ad una porta del mio linksys (già riflashato a suo tempo con OpenWRT), per poter avere in rete anche pc che non hanno scheda wifi.
Per ora tutto funzina bene. Mi mancano solo dei vicini o dei passanti che possano attaccarsi via fon 😛
